Celebrating  20 Years of Supporting Local Companies

Hands-On Computer Solutions Ltd is a forward-thinking firm which prides itself on the service it offers to existing or potential customers. The company started life in 1990 under the name of H&S Computer Services, being the computer arm of a local firm of chartered accountants.

For about 10 years we focused on being a Sage Dealer and have provided accounts and payroll solutions to over 500 local firms. We were appointed as a Sage Solution Centre in 1995 and as a Sage e-business centre in 1999. Sage sales and support are still provided.

In 2000 our business had a change in direction with the aim of becoming an all-round computer company. The name change came in 2002 to recognize the broad range of services then being supplied. Hands-On designs and installs network systems, provides website & email facilities together with working from home solutions. But by far our biggest growth area is in providing customers with Network Support Contracts. We currently look after systems for more than 150 local companies which are serviced by our 5 technical support staff. In 2007 we became completely independent from the accountancy firm but are pleased to say that we still look after their IT network. An in-house Marketing and Sales Coordinator completes the line up of our small but successful local computer business.

It's important for all our engineers to be committed, focused and enthusiastic about what they are doing so that clients receive a first class service. Each engineer has a financial stake in their future and we operate similar to a franchise business but all within one company. This unique approach helped us reach the finals of the Bolton & Bury business awards in 2007 & 2008.

We take the time to assess the true needs of the client and provide them with a solution that best suits their needs - rather than just trying to sell them some off-the-shelf package.

By adopting this philosophy we find our customers return to us when they have further requirements and, more importantly, recommend us to their friends and colleagues.
